This function returns the peak memory usage in bytes when format is empty.

Format can be:

• '' : result in bytes
• 'B' : result in bytes B
• 'KB': result in kilobytes KB
• 'MB': result in megabytes MB
• 'GB': result in gigabytes GB
• 'TB': result in terabytes TB
• 'PB': result in petabytes PB

Returns the memory usage according to format.
